HOW IT ALL STARTED
"CÓ BF CHƯA?"
Hao and Nhu first met at a bar through mutual friends. They got acquainted and became friends, but not very close. Eventually, Hao was smart enough to message Nhu on Instagram and ask her, “Có BF chưa?” Then, he asked Nhu if she wanted to go eat, and their first date was at a ramen shop called Masa Ramen. Afterwards, they went to the bar where they first met. On August 25, 2018, Hao asked Nhu to be his girlfriend in San Francisco after a cute pottery date.
Hand in hand, Hao and Nhu began their romantic relationship. They shared a lot of the same hobbies - food, drinks, and travel. They really enjoy cooking and hosting parties for their family and friends. Although they have similar interests, their personalities are quite the opposite. Even so, they learned to appreciate and accept each other’s differences.
Throughout the years, they have continued to nurture their love and overcome the challenges that arise. To them, loving each other is easy, but putting in the effort to maintain a deep and lasting relationship is what keeps them together. Every Friday is a date night - whether they go out or cook dinner at home, their dates always revolve around food and drinks (their current favorite is a good martini).
For those who know them, they run on V-I-B-E-S. Quite often, they take little trips inside and outside of California. They go camping in Bodega, wine tasting in Napa, hit the slots in Vegas, snowboard in Tahoe, and party with friends at music festivals. Without a doubt, their favorite music festival is Coachella! They also love to travel around the world. Nhu has taken Hao to more countries than he had ever been to in his entire life. They snowboarded in Switzerland, ate pizza in Italy, hit the pubs in London, devoured sushi in Japan, shopped in Korea, visited each other’s families in Vietnam, and drank wine in France.
and ... She said yes!
On February 7, 2023, at 9:33 AM in the small village of Iseltwald by Lake Brienz, Hao bent the knee and asked Nhu to be his wife. With Nhu’s “Yes!” they got engaged - promising to spend the rest of their life together. Since the day Nhu crash-landed into his life, Hao knew that this moment would eventually come. With a lifetime ahead, they excitedly look forward to all the adventures that await them. Just as eagerly, they await August 23, 2025, when they will share a major milestone in their journey with family and friends their - marriage.
